Section C Errata

The BM RX was found to be more powerful than intended in some cases. The following change reduces its capabilities to the intended level, namely 'avoiding combat' moved from "general" to "offensive":
(C2.10) … There are two types of RX, General and Offensive.

a) General RX forms are interpreted as being generally defensive in nature or utilitarian. General RX forms included Assembly Movement (AM, C2.60) when used to defend; Bypass Movement (BM, C2.55) when used to avoid combat or to counter an opponent's RX; Forced Retreat (FR, C2.40); Evasive Maneuvers (EM, C2.110); and Strategic Stop (SS, C2.70). General RX can be used as defined within their specific rules, and as early as movement segment 1.

b) Offensive RX forms are interpreted as being forceful in nature, whether used by an aggressor or a defender. Offensive RX forms include AM when you initiate an attack, BM, when used to cross a minefield or avoid combat; Bottleneck (BN, C2.50); Forced Engagement (FE, C2.40); Random Maneuvers (RM, C2.120); Warp Sling (WS, C2.80); Searching (C2.200); and, Positron Flywheel (FLY, C2.90). The first offensive Reactionary Movement happens no sooner than one segment after the first unit in that squadron’s Zone of Control (ZOC) moves (typically this means a speed 3 ship moves nearby on segment 4 which in turn allows offensive RX usage on segment 5). Note that Cloaked (D8.0) movement still counts as "movement" for this rule. See (C2.15) for additional triggering conditions.

C7.110 append:
Only an SBX may be used for this purpose, not a larger (or smaller) base.
C7.140- You always suffer engine damage on a scatter (could be misread as only happening if you don't land in a red hex):
(C7.140) … You also lose 1MV point until you get to a repair facility of at least BS size (BS, BATS, SB, …) even if you landed in a red hex.
